Hi thinking of trading in my hyundi i30 but think the clutch is just about gone.
It is showing engine on dash bord. Is it normally better to just trade it in or get it fixed and then trade it in.

They'll reduce the trade in price if the car is showing an error. Get the error code read and see how much it is to repair, then decide if you want to repair or clear the error.

Check what the engine light is for (it’s nothing to do with the clutch) and repair if it’s a reasonable amount. A garage will pull back the trade in price to cover the possibility of it being a big job. Chance the clutch as it is.

If you ask nicely in car DIY there may be someone locally that can scan it for you for free :)
