    Hi Team,

We have a serious issue with our Well water system and have made an application to Irish Water to get connected to the Local Supply.  The issue has now become extremely urgent as it appears our water is not fit for consumption, and we have young children at home.

Ive made the application and have a reference number, but is there any way to speed this up?  We cant afford to wait months for this.

    Morning team,

I changed my application from an enquiry, to an actual application on Friday.  But I dont have a reference number yet.  Does this take long, as Im trying to work out a time frame to get the water installed?

Right back at you again Aaron :)
Just wondering about a reference number in case I need to reach the Connection Team, and also a rough estimate on timeline would be great.

    Hi Folks,

Just wondering if there was a rough time frame on this?  Water is not usable at our house and we're waiting on test results on the water.  So if there are findings I need to come up with some solution in the interim.

    Hi Team,

I made a formal application based on the feedback and have the email confirming the same, or so I thought.
I received a letter yesterday regarding the pre-connection enquiry saying that is was approved, and to make a formal application.

Can you tell me if the formal application has actually been made??  I need to get this sorted asap, please.

    Hi Folks,

Is there any update on this?  Do we have any indication of a timeframe?  It looks as though we're waiting on an engineer to review the application and make an offer letter with costs.  How long does this normally take?

    Hiya Mairead,

Something up with my PM's so I couldnt reply on that.  Can you tell me roughly how long from payment to Irish Water, would the connection take place?

We are unable to provide specific updates in relation to your application publicly.

Once a New Connection application has been processed and payment is made, works will take place in due course.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead

    Hi Mairead,

I understand that Irish Water cannot guarantee a time frame, but even a rough one would be great.  If we're talking a number of weeks then we need to make alternative arrangements for water at home.

Also, the offer letter has still not arrived.

We have arranged for a member of the New Connections team to email you with an update to your application. You should receive this shortly.

    Many thanks,
    Aaron

    Hi Folks,

So I have sent in the EFT transfer yesterday afternoon, and have signed and scanned the offer letter back to the newconnections address this morning.  Can you give me an idea of timelines now for connection?

    Hi

We are in the middle of a site purchase and we needed to know if we could get a water connection and the estimate of costs for this. I have submitted an application but its taken ages and we only have a limited amount of time for site purchase completion.

Should i have put in a query or something else instead? Its been almost 5 weeks and we haven't heard a thing from Irish Water, Always with the engineers when i ring.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Rachel
