How easy would this be to do, bearing in mind im a moron when it comes to most things car wise :D

Found this video which makes it look simpe enough:

So basically, buy a new touchscreen radio, remove, reconnect. Simple in theory or is it easily done?

    Thank you in advance!

Isn’t the radio in a mk5 Fiesta smaller than double DIN size? Video has a mk6

I’d its a nk6 as in the video, you’ll need a fascia adaptor, as the standard radio is wider than Din size.
Also consider steering wheel remote adaptor if you want to keep that feature.

Sorry yes its mk6 don't know where I got 5 from!

Don't really use the steering wheel remote so not a big issue. Is it a job a layman could do do to reckon?

You will be able to do it no problem. It's mostly plug and play. You will of course need a fascia adapter and a wiring harness adapter and if buying a touchscreen head unit id strongly consider the steering stalk adapter as well.

Those touchscreens can be a bit of a pain to use while driving and changing the volume and channels is so much easier with the controls on the steering wheel.
