I have a wavin junction that is 6 inches below the lawn, previous owner just covered it over. I want to replace the junction put in a riser and a new cover to make it flush with the lawn. How would go about replacing the junction?

Why do you want to replace the junction? if its working away with no issues, I'd just put a riser on it and leave it alone.

Note* put a band on concrete around the riser lid to protect from lawnmowers and strimmers etc!

what sort of junction:what size, straight or angled etc etc.?
    sewage, rainwater, ???
    of course why?
it can be done, a bit of work as you will need to dig out enough room to work in the hole.

once you backfill with the answers to the questions we can advise more

If pipework feeding into junction is not being redone, you will be using one or more slip collars to join new junction into pipework.
So you will need to expose junction and a half metre of pipework going away from junction.
Cut one of the pipes and possibly wriggle out junction. You may have to cut more of them.
Slip collar is a pipe joiner but differs from normal one in that it has no centre stopper so can be slipped continuously along the pipe so put on slip collar, slide fully onto pipe out of the way.
Place new junction in position and use short lengths of pipe to get all pipework lined up with original then slide collar over joint.

Thanks to all those who responded it’s a straight Sewerage junction from a second toilet. Pipework around isn’t being redone. The junction is one piece i.e. the square section for the lid is part of the junction, I’ve seen ones where this pulls away as a separate piece allowing you to add a riser. Could I just add a riser and buy a new square section to hold the lid?

could you leave the lid section and mount another lid section above it . maybe a riser would be needed.
concrete it in to stop it moving
