Is the new blue flame by firebird not a game changer?

    Only from an emmisions perspective.

Grant have a blue flame also, and its not an old rocket burner, is a Riello.
They also now have a blue flame modulating boiler thats fully stainless too!!

And as for emissions, the Rocket Burner Not emissions are low (as are the Riello Blueflame), but it runs with an increased Co2 emission of 14%, where as the Riello Blueflame only runs at 11% Co2.

I’ll go with grant I’d say. Another few months left in old boiler. Is there any other oil boiler make to consider or is grant the leader?

    grant by far the best

you might save 150eu on other makes but whats that over a 15year investment

    If serviced by Jim.

I've plenty in the 25+ vintage, but not serviced by Jim

    PS

No,the reason is down to the design of the boiler itself. The grant boiler is the market leader here and slightly more expensive, but in my opinion cheaper in the long run

I installed a Firebird slimline enviromax, i previously had a firebird popular which served well for 15 years the reason for me going for the Firebird over the Grant was that i knew the missus would want me to paint the grant boiler housing (is comes in galv or steel i can't remember which) and the firebird is pre painted and i previously had a Firebird. They both use the same burner which is the part that would give trouble.
There wasn't much in the difference between them in efficiency and the Grant was a bit cheaper 50 euro i think shop around when pricing i found a difference of 150euro between suppliers
