Partial Chargeback with Credit Card company

    Are partial chargebacks possible?

I paid for an item online, and paid a good bit extra for express delivery. It didn't arrive by the day they said it would, so I want to recoup the difference between Standard and Express delivery.

Is this possible or do chargebacks have to be for the full amount?

Was there an absolute guarantee of delivery by a certain day?

Unless you have that in writing, there is nothing you can do.

Delivery can be affected by many things outside control of a sender. Weather conditions in particular - one day last week almost all trucks were laid up for several hours due to weather.

You'll find that the terms and conditions which you agreed to will cover them

    Hi Op

a charge back should be your last port of call, not the 1st.

contact the retailer, and make a complaint that you paid extra, and didn't get the swift delivery you expected/paid for and see what their response is.
