Glo plug light problem

Can anyone give me some advice please. I have a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2007 which drives fine for a bit but then stops dead and won't start until the following day and will run for a few hours and cut out again. I've noticed that when I try to start the engine when it's warm the glo plug light doesn't light up on the dash and when cold again it will light up again.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, I can't get to a mechanic until the weekend.
    Thanks

Glow plugs are only used to heat the diesel before starting in cold weather. What you described is how they're designed to work. Light on = glow plugs working. You're not meant to try start it until the light goes out. When it's warm the glow plugs aren't needed, hence no light. They're only used to start a vehicle. Wouldn't cause it to stop. You'd need to get a proper diagnostic done on it. Could be 4 million different problems.
