Made a complete balls of my internet after trying to bridge router. Now nothing works

I got an Asus AC68U and tried to bridge it with my eir f2000 today.
Basically in the eir router settings page, I changed the connection on GE-WAN-1 from "ethernet" to "bridged".
Then I hooked up the asus router and got nothing but errors "DSL not detected". No luck.

So I tried to just hook up the ASUS router on its own and got a bit more success. But once I set my password it just kept opening new tabs every 20 seconds on my browser and giving me errors.
No luck so I said I'd try again tomorrow.

I reset the eir router using the little pin at the back, and now nothing works. Even though it's no longer in "bridged" mode the internet wifi is bollocksed.

The DSL and wifi lights are on, but the internet light is off.
The wifi doesn't work at all, but ethernet connection works fine.

Any idea's how I fix this?

If you're meant to be using GE WAN 1 then you can bin the F2000 and use the Asus standalone.

If you're not then its the VDSL interface that should be bridged.

    What product are you on?

E-fibre 150mb I think. I won't really have time to try it again until after the weekend, was just hoping there would be a quick fix to get my normal internet back working until then.

To get back up and running just hold in the reset button on the back of the F2000.

If your on 150mb I assume your FTTH so you can dump the F2000 and connect directly via Ethernet to the ONT.

You’ll need to set your router to use vlan10 on your WAN interface

    As above
    1. Reset the F2000 (button for 10 seconds) to restore service

    2. When setting up again:
    WAN - IPTV - VLAN 10
    WAN on auto mode
Connect WAN port to ONT (white box), wait 2-3 mins, should come up automagically.

On the wireless issue, once reset it will default to the original settings, if you had changed them you will need to connect your devices again with the default settings or change them again.

Hey. Quick question again, still having trouble with this.
My eir modem (the little huawei box with 3 green lights) only has an ethernet connection on it and a green connection that goes into the wall of my house.

The modem is originally connected to the eir router with an ethernet cable to a WAN port (ethernet).

But the new router has a DSL port that the ethernet cable wont fit into. There is a little splitter that came with the asus router that fits into the DSL port but again, no ethernet port on that to connect it to the modem.

So how do I hook up the modem to the router? Do I need a special cable with one end DSL and one end ethernet?

Driving me up the wall at this stage. I'm not exactly the most tech savvy person.

    Try this:

Technically you have bought the wrong device. It sounds like you have the DSL-AC68U when you should have purchased the RT-AC68U or any similar router with an ethernet WAN port.

Ah, that makes sense. I bought the product based on what I read here so I was confused as to why I was having so much issues. I'm going to return it I think if that doesnt work.
Which I'm fairly sure it wont because I can't even access that screen when I hook it up.

    Yeah, wrong device.

It would have been super if eFibre wasnt called efibre, sends FTTH users to FTTC advice which is not applicable.
