Tax Residency Certificate

    Hello,
I moved to Ireland last year and therefore am not very familiar with how the Revenue works. I have received a letter from my previous country of residence which needs the Tax Residency Certificate from Ireland to avoid double taxation. How can I request this certificate?
A week ago I went to my local Revenue office but was sent back as I had not made an appointment. How does one make an appointment there? Is it possible to make an appointment online or do I need to ring somewhere? I find it a little bit stressing as there seems to be not enough information on the Revenue website and on top of that I couldn't get any helpful information from the office either.
I really appreciate any help and/or suggestions.

Thanks for the link. I did ask about the appointment making and they gave me a phone number. However whe I called the number given, the line was busy (on waiting) and I didn't have the chance to get through. Multiple times. Hence I wondered if there was another way of getting the appointment (ex. online).
I have solved the problem now though, so all good. Thanks!
