Scrappage and the log book

i bought a new car from main dealer , with my old car as scrappage , but i never signed over the logbook , could this cause problems down the line? should i contact the dealer and ask to sign the logbook or would it matter either way . just qurious .

Most dealers do the change of ownership transfer online these days so there should be no need to sign the logbook.
