Hi I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I have zone controll heating in my house,

    zone 1: down stairs
    zone 2 :up stairs
    zone 3 :hot water

When I put on zone 1, zone 2 also comes on.
when i put one zone 2 it works fine and the same with hot water its just when i put on zone 1 zone 2 activates, is this a big job to fix.

If you put on zone 3 then does zone 2 come on too? You could have a valve stuff open. Check to see if electric valve is getting power from timer.

    Hi.
Zone 2 and zone 3 work perfect. its only zone 1 that's acting up. I'll check the valves, my knowledge on this stuff isn't great 😀

It really sounds like a valve thats stuck open on zone 2. If so, then turning on any zone will also make hot water flow to zone 2.
I had this problem myself just last week. Exact same setup as you except zone 1 was coming on whenever any zone was active. I removed the electric valve, gave it a couple of thumps and it's still working fine :o

Apologies, I may have misinterpreted the OP.
OP - By zone 2 erroneously "coming on" ......do you mean hot water going to that zone or the the actual timer being activated?

When I turn on zone one zone two comes on but not on my timer it's like I only have one zone.

When you turn on zone 1 does the motorized valve in zone 2 power up?

I haven't located the motorised valve yet, the plumber was a cowboy he buried it in behind my down pipe in the kitchen

Did this system ever work properly?

How are you switching between zones...what controller?
I suspect it is wrongly wired or a switch problem. If it ever worked right then I would opt for the latter.

Me again.. I got an electrician out to the house checked all the wiring and everything is fine. All the valves seem good, but still zone 2 comes on with zone 1,, I was talking to a plumber he said it sounds like the valve is faulty, but it's working, anyone have any ideas

The valve is stuck open. I said it at the start and I still think it :D

Maybe so, but the plumber also said if I turn on my hot water(zone 3) then zone 2 should come on but it doesn't. I'll just fork out then money to get a proper plumber out :) 😡
