Holiday in Normandy or Brittany with the Dogs - Restrictions

    Hi,

I have been looking at a trip to Normandy or Brittany over the Summer and I see that in the last few years there are a lot of restrictions on where dogs can go. I'm not too worried about beaches as I wouldn't bring them on a busy beach anyway but I would like to do some hiking or country walks, the Crozon Peninsula has caught my eye at the moment.

From what I can gather on other forums the fine in a restricted area is quite low, that locals will walk their dogs in restricted areas and that locally the rules are seen as a way of restricting bad dog owners so leashed dogs are ok. And that some of the information given out by tourist offices is confusing and maybe outdated.

Does anyone have any experience of holidaying/walking with dogs in this area, the official websites for the GR routes isn't great?

Also any recommendations for a holiday destination not too far from the ferry ports would be good, or any books I could read.

    Thanks
