    for the guide dogs
A friend of mine did it about a year or so and was wondering would they tell you about the dog and show a picture ? or is that a strict no no

Other charities give updates so I don't see what guide dogs wouldn't? There's nothing to lose asking anyways!

I know someone who raises puppies for a charity that provides assistance dogs, and they certainly allow it.

Not meaning to sound like a smart ar$e but why doesn't she contact whoever she dealt with in the guide dogs & ask them.

I'd say they'll contact the current owner & ask if they mind being contacted by the puppy raiser. Most wouldn't mind I'm sure.
