I'd be interested in whether a BMW with FSH in good nick @ 100,000 miles is an option and if so what sort of things should I be checking/asking for?

I drove my last car till it hit 220,000 (toyota avensis) and apart from being a bit thirsty on oil and failing on some age related rust it never broke down or gave me many problems.
