Always been part of pre season training, but seems to have gone off the wall recently.

Dublin are in Walsh Cup and playing Wexford today. This after 20 points + hammerings by Tipp and Waterford, latest one Friday night. Dublin played 3 games in two days. In fact Dublin have played I think every day for last two weeks! Tipp beat Liam Mellows by 30 points! This is supposed to prepare Dublin for league or Mellows for club semi final!

    Maybe I am missing something..

Anyone who ever played the game knows that getting your fkn arse handed to you on plate is not good. Perhaps Gilroy missed that part.

Mellows are limited in who they can play. The laughable structure of the club championship means they will go two months between winning "connacht" and their next competitive match. Is any event anywhere scheduled so bizarrely?

Anyhow no club teams will be playing friendlies and Fitzgibbon teams probably won't commit to weekend matches.

They should be playing weaker counties though

I'd imagine there would be other clubs on downtime now who would fancy a game against any of the teams still left in AI.

Mellows playing Tipp would be like Slaughneil playing Mayo. Just doesn't make sense.
