This might have been debated numerous times, if correct i apologize!
Looking for some advise, travelling from ireland to india in the month of may this year.
The major thing holding me back is i'm limited to my expenses.

I plan to travel starting from cork to goa, if i have to travel to dublin which i really don't want to then i would inclined to do so.
I've been almost on a daily basis on skyscanner comparing prices and i can see that it looks extremely appealing given the price tag (€550 or less).

I've been told by an agency that it will cost around €650-€720 which is out of my budget.
The thing is i don't plan on carrying a lot of luggage to india but when returning it would be definitely be a bit more in comparison to arriving in the country.

On skyscanner i read that, there is a regional flight and then a international flight to my destination, however i can't get my head around the luggage limits, i'm more than certain that i can't carry much on a regional flight (ex aer lingus, cork>london or cork > amsterdam) compared to like london to mumbai?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but lets say i have a checked in luggage on my first flight and then on my second boarding flight it is a 2 hour wait, does that mean i only have 2 hours to get my luggage from the previous flight and check into the new flight? What happens if my luggage gets lost, i can't just leave the luggage there and board my flight? Is booking yourself a big risk?

Any help would be much appreciated, sorry for the newbie questions!!

Can you link the flight? Ive used skyscanner to book flights numerous times for example to Thailand, i flew with Air China to Bangkok and had a regional flight with Bangkok airways. My bag was checked through till the end and a 23kg limit applied. These flights are all on one ticket which suggests there is an agreement in place with the regional airline.

With the agency it's probably the same ticket, a lot of the stuff that comes up on skyscanner is usually just online agencies anyway.

Ah okay, should i opt in for the longer, cheaper duration flight or shorter duration flight if i had a checked in luggage? For example there is a connecting flight in the same airport:
    cork to london heathrow
and then london heathrow to mumbai which is a 3H 55M wait, is this good if i have a heavy checked in bag so i have time to check in the bag onto the next flight?

Sorry for the bother above i'm new so just add the https and skyscanner

    Flight is:
    Cork to LHR
    LHR to Mumbai
    Mumbai to Goa

    Flight is:
    Cork to LHR
    LHR to Mumbai
    Mumbai to Goa

Your link wouldn't open, did a search based on the dates which was 27/4 - 20/5 and seen the flight for 530. Looks like it's a KLM flight the whole way but cork to Amsterdam is operated by Aer Lingus both ways. On the way back Jet Airways operate Goa to Mumbai. All are partner airlines to KLM.

You don't need to worry about checking in the bags, you just need to go the next flight. Your bag is checked through the final Destination. You can book those flights through KLM directly although it'll cost you about 570. I prefer to book with the airline where possible.

Also reading the t&cs of the sky scanner one it appears to be a sale price till the 18th, just so ya know as that's a very good price for those flights.
