I’ve 2 dogs..( lab and Alsatian) who’ve developed a liking for chewing off reg plates

Just wondering if there’s a spray / coating that I can use to turn them off it

WD40 should be disgusting for them and also not have much impact on the look of the plate, I'd try that. Might sacrafice one plate until they realise plates taste bad.

In most woodies and almost all pet shops they sell a product just for this purpose in a spray bottle. The name escapes me just at this moment but please consider this instead of something that may be toxic to the dog. If you can't get this maby put some vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it on number plate.

Know someone had the same problem with clothes pegs. Coated them in cayenne pepper. Problem solved dog learned

Indeed, buy some spicy stuff and smear over the plate, and dog should stop.

The spicy thing works with dogs but the likes of tobasco and won’t cut it with some dogs if they’re strong willed. My dog suffers the pain of the tobasco and chews away on one patch of the garden fence to try get at rabbits. What you want is a chilli paste - something with bits in it and that will act as a slow burner and get caught in teeth. They will be burning at both ends for some time though so allow a lot of outside time maybe...
