Drove a petrol one there a few weeks ago. Actually not bad. Obviously your getting what you pay for. Not very fancy in terms of interior and I found the back leg room small. Otherwise nice car to drive. I'd advise trying to get an extended test drive

The interior quality and fit/finish will be lower than your Fiesta, they are a budget brand so if you can live with that then they are good value for what they are.

@ OP if you are thinking of keeping the car for a while the maybe you should consider looking at the Hyundai 120 which comes worth a 5 year warranty and the Kia Rio which would have a 7 year warranty.

I do not know what your budget is but if you could afford it and like it the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross looks great has a really cool interior and has an 8 year warranty.
Only thing is it is only available with petrol at the moment the diesel will be out in the summer but you could still look at one and think about it maybe even wait for the diesel if you like it.

A petrol eclipse cross is €27k! (€12k or 80% more than a diesel stepway)

Hi Folks, thinking swell of going after a Dacia Logan Stepway. Solely because its new and I can get a three year warranty. I have three kids under 11 and was hoping the back seat would suffice. At the moment driving a 7 seater but giving **** loads of problems thats really hitting our pockets. Can live with the less than luxurious, they look fine to me. So I guess either the 2018 Logan Stepway or the 2018 Duster. Would welcome any thoughts or suggestions. Cheers

I'd say check them out well. The duster would be small in the back I'd say for 3

The Logan isn’t very wide either

The stepway as a car is simple and straight forward. I'd say good value and good reliability.

Where it becomes less competitive is where better brands offer good deals. So Skoda for example.

Tom, the issue of three on a backseat has been discussed many times. The Dacia range don't feature in those discussions. It will depend on car seats as well which can have a huge impact.

    That's why I said this,

I do not know what your budget is but if you could afford it and like it

Cheers, I'll have a quick look through previous threads. I'd be looking to put in a booster and High Back booster with a ten year old in the middle.

    Thanks

They feature well in UK reliability surveys. Simplicity has its benefits and it's a Renault engine. I test drove one and it was very nice and smooth to drive. Basic inside and even the sales team call it the Ryanair if cars! In the end I got a Fabia. The zero interest made it a great deal and I felt the car was better for me plus slightly cheaper. But it was close!

Mate has a 161 and does 100km a day and it's never missed a beat.

Your 151 fiesta is a modern design by one of the best manufacturers at the moment and has a high safety rating , the stepway is based on decades old Renault tech and a step backwards in many years and ways from a 151 fiesta especially safety wise.

Why not get a Ford B-Max or a C-Max. They are bigger cars with more room and both are very modern and good to drive. Maybe a 161 or a 171. There should be good deals out there on them now.
