I don't know if such a thing exists but add emergency service to any trade and the price goes from 70 perspective hour to over 200 per hour.

Broke the chain of one of the blinds.

Rolling it up or down is a bit of pain. Not home weekdays during the day.

So just a thought if I can find a reasonable service.

Got your point though, emergency and you are paying lot more.

OK so for weekdays any reasonable blinds replacement service?

How much will it cost to replace two blinds? About 4ft in width. Nothing fancy, just one of them in blackout and other normal, cream colour synthetic will do.

I'm sure you will get someone to fit you in for an evening or weekend appointment.

If it were me I'd do a google search & send emails to a half dozen or so. Maybe attach a photo. Someone will contact you by Monday and some will be happy to work out of normal hours

You could try blinds247.ie. I used them for a big blind last week. It did arrive missing a piece, but they seem good for that kinda thing, which is half the battle.

Will mean fitting them yourself, though, but that should be easy if you are replacing blinds that were already there.

I got blinds from Homebase and did try replacing myself but the fittings were not the same do didnt work. Even the screw position for the brackets were different.

The blinds were only €25 but had to return them. I am no good in drilling holes etc and scared of ruining the walls.

I got only one quote so far, €200 for 2 windows, which is on the expensive side. The window size is only about 4ft wide and 6ft drop.

Hey KKV, I'd be interested in checking these out for some blinds but blinds247.ie is not returning a page while 247blinds.ie seems to be based in England. Can you confirm if this is what you used?

Apologies for the off topic OP.

Well if i were you i'd say order off blinds247. Much like you, I didnt want to touch them, so i got a chap that works for a local blind place to measure and fit them as a nixer. ;)

If only I can find someone who can fix them.

Is he by any chance around Dublin? :)

Drogheda, but if you're in north dublin he could probably do it. If you want his number just pm me and i'll get it to you :) Most lads working in the blinds places are just employees (ie they dont run the company) so will be happy to do a handy fitting job.

Sorry, i just missed the posts above.

Yep https://www.247blinds.ie/ is what i used. i paid the extra for faster turnaround and got them 2 days later. Their phone number is dublin based (albeit you're met with an english accent) so Im not sure of their location, but they're fast for a non-ireland based company if they are indeed UK based.

I found them excellent for my blind (as it was a big size vertical blind, and i also wanted the 5" vanes as opposed to the smaller 3.5" ones). I think i found an irish site that had the 5" vanes but wouldnt do the size i wanted. 247blinds have bigger size limits (I was going from the ceiling to the floor and 12ft wide for a sliding door).
