So how many meals do you get? I'm looking at fares Dublin to Providence and they're telling me that the LowFares+ prices includes "up to two meals". Well, is that one, or two, or does it depend on what's left in the trolley, and you might end up with 1.4355687 of a meal?

Anyway, doing the sums, and assuming that there's only time for one decent meal on a 7-hour flight, that seems to work out at about 30€ for a warmed up picnic platter. That makes the airport restaurants look like great value.

    Am I missing something?

Dinner and then a snack an hour or two before landing. Tea/coffee and a sambo probably.

Don't see what you're moaning incredulously about, nobody is forcing to pay for "a warmed up picnic platter" and you're free to bring your own food.

I was embarrassed for the pleasant Norwegian flight assistant being forced to listen to ignorant Irish people moan about having to pay for a blanket, or for water on my last flight out of PVD to Dublin. States clearly what you get/don't get on the website when you book. Bring food, travel blanket, book/tablet and fill up water bottle in airport after security.

Why do people expect the same service as aer lingus etc for half the price (or less) of their fares?

Shame on you for such a ridiculous question they have intervenes drips on board in case you suffer from food deprivation and if there's no food on the trolley for poor you sue the airline least you got a cheap airfare.

It's not the paying for it that I don't understand, it's the use of the phrase "up to two" meals. I'm being invited to pay for something, but they don't say what it is that I'm buying. It's hard enough to define what constitutes a meal (sandwich, drink and a bag of crisps, according to Tesco) without using vague terms like "up to two".

But if you've flown on that route, can you tell me how many meals they serve on the flight?

LowFares+ is probably a Norwegian option available on longer flights where you'd get two meals depending on the duration? Or maybe dinner then breakfast on an overnight flight.
