    Hi all,

I purchased a memory card for this phone as the storage is low on it. How do I transfer data on to this from internal storage so i can download new apps. When I try to download new apps it still says storage full even though I have switched the default storage to the SD card.

    Thanks.

"default storage" is just for photos, music and other app data. The apps themselves stay on internal storage. Some apps can be moved to the SD card using "move to SD" in the app settings or an app like App2SD, but a lot of apps can't.

The other alternative is "adoptable storage" which (sort of) merges your internal and SD card into a single partition. Huawei have disabled this option on the P8Lite, but there is a way around it detailed here

I used the method in #2 and it's working fine.

I've never had nor seen one of these micro cards. How much are they? Where did you get it?

I had no clue either but Google it and you will find a few YouTube videos that explain it fairly well.

After trying a couple of times and i can't get it to work, it's possible i need a better sd card, when i partition it it shows as 32gb total, but if i check in an external tool it only shows me the original internal storage. Any recommendations on an sd card for this?
