Window frame sealant

I'm looking for some advice on replacing the exterior sealant around my window frames. I noticed this morning that it has started to peel away from the concrete recess on the main living room window and I'm wondering if this is the reason for increased noise and a bit of a draught?

I'm wondering if there are particular types of sealant for this particular job or any that would be recommended? Any difference between exterior/interior? Is there anything that I should look out for when removing the old and replacing?

    Thanks

They usually have stuff labeled as external frame sealant.
Its usually acrylic and not silicone.

Just pullout the old stuff, clean the area and apply the new stuff.

I would be more inclined to use a Polyurethane sealant for that job, something like Tec7 or Tigerseal would be very good, they bond to wet surfaces if needed and don't age nearly as badly as Silicone or Acrylic sealants.
Sika and Wurth KD Bond and Seal are the best but pricey.
