GoPro like camera with good reviews and a good image sensor. 20% off if you click the "Promotions" drop-down on the page (just below the price). There's also promotions on a number of the accessories in the same list.

That code brings it down to £80. The camera has been between £60 and £70 for the past few months.

Edit: There is also a lightning deal for it tomorrow and it has been priced at £65 for the last 10 lightning deals.

Interesting, but the hotukdeal link comes back empty. Where do you see the upcoming lightning deal? I'll cancel my order and go for that instead if I can find the link.

Edit: Found the lighting deal. 7.50 am tomorrow. Thanks for the heads-up Aristotle. Better set the alarm :D

Thanks OP and Aristotle , seriously tempted by this , i have gotten so bad for taking videos due to lack of space/quality on my phone , what I read is that it fits GoPro accessories , is that your understanding too , would be interested in mounting on bicycle

Not sure about the compatibility with GoPro, but one of the promotions is 65% off the bike mount when you buy a camera.

Yes you can use any GoPro screw mounts with this camera. I've been keeping an eye on this for a while it looks like a very decent camera.

I have a Xiaomi Yi 2K camera on my bike, it works well but the battery life is short enough. I think this one is marginally better however.

I got a 2400mah battery for the Yi2k which gave me well over an hour and a half continuous recording time. Worked out at about 25 quid. Worth the investment and also came with a waterproof case with an extra door to accommodate the bigger battery. It's brought a new lease of life to my camera, so I bought a second battery. You can get it in a pack with a clip on LCD screen also for 50 or so.

I know this is off topic. But I actually have that battery. I found it didn't work too well, and it would unpredictably die after an hour or so. Maybe I'll give it another go, I also may have just gotten a faulty one.

Can these be powered from a USB power bank? If I wanted to do a long time lapse could I plug it into a power bank to keep it charged?

Really? Both mine were grand, on two separate cameras and lasted perfectly.

Sorry to hear yours didn't work, and for going off topic..

completely forgot about the lightning time yesterday but sounds like the reduction wasnt as much as previously so will keep an eye on it for a while yet.

Missed the lighting too but also couldn't get the promotion deals to work, either before or after the lighting deal......

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,356 ✭✭✭xckjoo

I cancelled my whole order due to the lackluster lighting offer :D
It's not an urgent need so I'll wait for a better price

Just had a look and it still seems to be there. There's a drop-down menu just under the price. Click "Redeem" on the "Save £20 on order...." option. It won't reflect in the price until the very end though. The final Amazon screen where you actually confirm the address and payment option and finalise the order.

Nearly bought one of these then discovered the highly regarded SJ4000 which has a viewfinder, wifi and comes with every accessory and is cheaper.

It's 1080p instead of 4k so not quite like-with-like, but that's probably more than enough for most people. Thanks for sharing. I might actually get this instead of the Yi Lite.

I got this recently. Can anybody recommend a good accessores pack which would fit this camera. I specifically want bike, car and helmet mounts. Don't need waterproof case.
