    Hi,
just wondering if anybody has any ideas on this situation as it's beginning to stress me out. My jobpath supervisor keeps suggesting that I lie about previous jobs on my cv to make it look like i've more experience than i do. I would be worried that i'd get caught out for this and getting a bit stressed now at what to say if they bring this up again. Has anyone else had this same situation?

If your Jobpath supervisor is suggesting that you lie then you need to make a written complaint about that to the Manager stating the dates and the circumstances of the suggestions.

I have spoken to two people involved with Turas Nua who's Personal Advisor said right out that yes, we will make up previous jobs on your CV to avoid gaps...

In your position I would make a complaint.

Can anyone here advise the best way to do so?

As I already pointed out in the post immediately above yours, the initial complaint needs to be in writing to the manager of the TN office you are attending.
It’s helpful if you can specify which meetings the suggestion to lie was made.

    Thanks for the replies

Seems to be a small number of staff at the centre so i'd be concerned about rocking the boat tbh if I put in a letter of complaint to the manager - but I appreciate that thats the correct proceedure.

I think the best approach at the moment is just to call out my supervisor if it's mentioned again and tell them it's not something i'm going to do, and hopefully they react ok.

This is the reason I asked for any alternative suggestions - depending on your PA and their manager, they could take offense and penalize YOU for being uncooperative. As much as it pains me, I say just smile and go along with what they say, it's too risky otherwise. Personally I would go along with their made up CV, and if you have the means to make up your own proper CV do so and actually use your own one.

TBH I have found the majority of your responses to any posts querying/criticising Turas Nua / Seetec / JobPath to be quite dismissive and always along the longs of 'you're unable to gain employment yourself, so just suck it up and engage'. Regardless of the question or details of the post. Therefore, in general, I pass over your responses.

As there are two choices when presented with TN/Seetec ( sign off or cooperate) I don’t see the point in leading posters to believe that any kind of “wriggling” will result in them being excused.
Clearly if a claimant is being encouraged to fabricate work experience on a CV then this should be reported to the office manager.

One of the other fabricated cv's will get the jpb ahead of you.

an interview is already a nerve-wrecking situation for a lot of people, and having to lie as well would probably put people over the edge! I cannot think of any good reason for it, besides from the Turas Nua pov - to get you signed off their books, so they can move on to the next one.
