Seeing as I have all but killed my VDF Smart Ultra 6 I am looking to replace it.

I really loved this phone :(

    Any recommendations please?

    SU6 for life!

It was the best phone going! I got a Xiaomi Mi A1 for my other half and it's a worthy successor to the SU6 imo. A very slick device, and it comes in at around 210eur.

I bought a Mi A1 before Christmas and it's really excellent for the money. Actually , scrap that qualifier - it's just excellent.

No NFC, and therefore no android pay, right? I couldn't live with that.

I got moto g5s plus back in september and am really happy with it. No issues whatsoever and great performance and battery life.

Yep, no NFC. It is a killer and a silly omission on Xiaomi's part. It's the reason I didn't get it to replace my SU6... but I went overboard and go a Oneplus 5T instead.

Similar situation - looking for a phone in this bracket to replace Nexus 5 which is on its last legs.

Right now its Moto G5s Plus vs. Xiaomi Mi A1, based on some light research.

Would also be interested to here other suggestions though....

I ordered it on the 14th, and it arrived yesterday (22nd). Came with an EU plug. Site is fine, just translate the page with Chrome. If you are used to ordering with Amazon it will be very familiar You can also translate any emails you get through gmail (if you use it).

    Phone is beautiful, terrific value.

The xiaomi redmi note 4 is also a solid choice. There's no NFC support either though.

I'll 2nd the Redmi Note 4. Great phone.

I recently upgrade to the Mi Max 2. Also great phone. Currently on day 5 without charging and still 18% battery remaining.

No NFC on either but not a deal breaker for me. Used Android Pay once on my Galaxy and next two times I tried to use it wouldn't work so gave up on it.
