Hi, I'm on maternity leave from my job (HSE position) and at moment I'm taking 4 months unpaid leave which will be up in March after which I will be using up a lot of holidays that I had built up, I need to take a couple more months off due to child minding issues, so was wondering would I be allowed to take 2 months…

Hi, I'm on maternity leave from my job (HSE position) and at moment I'm taking 4 months unpaid leave which will be up in March after which I will be using up a lot of holidays that I had built up, I need to take a couple more months off due to child minding issues, so was wondering would I be allowed to take 2 months unpaid leave after the holidays or do i have to physically go back to work before I can take more time off?? Any advice would be great before I approach my boss.
