I did it a couple of years ago booked with Tour America.

Dublin Gatwick was with AerLingus, and then transferred to Virgin.

We were a family with young kids and Virgin seemed to have all the families together in a particular section. The kids were given mini back packs with colouring pencil and stuff. We pre-notified them of meal requirements and my daughters sandwich - with a label No cheese, was a cheese sandwich.

Orlando with Virgin was/is a bucket and spade route, cheap and cheerful style. Would do it again no problem.

I did this route last year via Manchester and I found them fantastic. The flights were for nothing! The only problem is that you will clear immigration in Orlando and this was an excruciating long wait. Loads of entertainment inflight for yourself and kids and I found the Virgin staff really nice. Just watch on your way home - they are very strict on weight! I’m planning on using the same route in September.

What did you pay for flights?

What did you pay for flights?

€360 return with a 2 hour wait each way in Manchester

Travelled with them twice. First time Gatwick to Barbados and 2nd time Manchester to Las Vegas. Great airline and crew always friendly and helpful. Went to Orlando in 2016 from Dublin via Charlotte with American Airlines and found them awful. Only plus was preclearance.

Last time I flew Virgin my wife was four months pregnant and suffering with morning sickness.

The attendant showed her the menu and my wife just said "I'm sorry, that turns my stomach" and explained why.

two minutes later the attendant returned with the upper class menu and asked if there was anything on there she would like.

Only a little thing, but as they say, its the little things that make a difference.

Just a word of warning to make sure you select yiur seat either by paying exrra at time of booking or on line before you go to airport, they ill split you up if it is a full flight, had this done recently on a long hall flight, I could not check on on line and had to do this at the airport and culd not get a seat next to my wife, first time this has ever happened to me. So just be aware of this, peopke can select there seat when checking on on line within 30hrs of there flight and if it is a full flight they will split you up. I think i called them the ryanair of long haul flighrs at the time. I asked what if i was rraveling with a young child and was toid that if you want to guarantee a seat beside eachother you should have reserved it when you booked your flught. As a result this airline would come way down my list of airlines to fly with in the future..

How is that the airline's fault? If there are no more seats available together they can't sit you together without splitting others up.

Traveled with Virgin 2 years ago London - LA, Miami - London. Very positive. Helpful and polite stewardess. Clean. "Good" airplane food plus gift bag with toothbrush, paste, eye patch for sleeping. No 2 on my airline list. Highly recommended.

Most of flight approx. 60% were people traveling on there own, if there was a child traveling they would have done the same, was very surprised to here that, and that came from there checkin person, thats my experience with this airline and as I said would be bottom of my list to travel with in the future, a lot better airlines out there to travel with in my opion.
