Daily Pressure Drop in Boiler

I've a recent problem in my central heating. The pressure is dropping overnight, every night. (From 1.6 to 1.4) Just enough to stop the boiler igniting. The RGI guy has been and couldn't find the answer, he suspects a leak in the system. There's no sign of any water leaking upstairs, and the pipes downstairs are all under concrete, so un-checkable. It's a ten year old house using modern plastic pipework etc.
I'm coping with the problem by opening the pressure tap for 15 seconds every morning, that enables the boiler to operate on and off through the day. Obviously, this isn't an ideal fix, so I'd appreciate any advice as to what to do next! What else can cause a pressure drop? If the coil in the immersion was leaking, would our domestic hot water be discoloured? It's probably irrelevant, but this problem only started in December, right after I started turning the downstairs thermostat off (for the first time ever) to prioritise the upstairs radiators. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
