I currently have standard F2000, basic vdsl unfortunately nothing can be done about that as they'll unlikely ever update my connection to the house

speedtests typically show I get ave 60Mb down 16Mb up with 8ms latency.
in the house its not spectacular but ok if I'm wired straight in...but the wifi seems poor and erratic, I've tried to eliminate as much as I can

I'm on a budget, I'm tempted to change out the modem to something like a Linksys AC1900...but then I am also wondering/reading about some of these new mesh wifi devices and wondering if I may as well leave the F2000 router in place and look at this angle instead

I'd like to get the best overall value result with the connection I have over wifi...all opinions/help welcome from anyone who has had same scenario as me

    thanks
