Where have all the Q7’s gone...!? Have car sales peaked?

Are they off skiing, or is this something more serious?

    Seriously....

Ok, there are very few people with €70-90k in loose change lying around. As most of us know, most cars these days are leased. Interest rates are zip, and if you’re lukcy enough to have a tracker mortgage (or better still, no mortgage) then you might well have enough left over each month for a nice wagon.

But, more than one person has remarked to me lately that, that ultimate South Dublin Princess school-run wagon, the Audi Q7, which was very visible in 2017, are like hen’s teeth now.

Have they handed back the keys to these and other 4WD trinkets? Or are they not back from Davos yet?

    D.

They are all buying cheaper jeepy cars like Kia Sportage and Dacia Dusters in white.

All in the body shop getting the massive dents out from one year of use by women in South Dublin.

My cousin had a Mk 1 Q7 and when he went to trade it in found the current Q7 a bit of a lump, so bought a Range Rover Sport instead. Maybe loads more of those about....?

Why would you buy a Q7 over a Range Rover?

Why do people even buy new cars when you can get something old that does the same thing for a fraction of the price? People are stupid

And thankfully for the rest of us they spend money on something shiny and new that loses value that fast.

Anyone that's had to deal with Audi will tell you their after sales is ****.

Mate of mine bought an A6 a few years back, fully tricked out.
After 2/3 years of ownership he was presented with a bill of €6,000!
Gearbox work and heap of other crap.

    Never again he said.

Also it's likely that people's PCP scheme is up and handed back the sh**ty Q7 have one of these on order:
    http://landrover.ie/range-rover
There's a new one out now.

I love these Off Road Vehicles that never leave the Road except for going onto the Driveway.
Any Petrol head knows they're greatest heap of sh*te going.

Unless it’s a Toyota Landcruiser. Go forever. Anyone who *seriously* needs a workhorse with a towbar, tends to buy one. Plenty of early 2000s still going around.

And, they make no concessions to trendy design and looks; something I like about them.

    Those and the Hilux

New LC is very pricey though!

If you need a proper workhorse just look at what the ISIS lads using as Technicals
They're the off roaders to buy (If you're gonna being going off road)
