LED headlights on Audi A6

I'm looking at some UK auction sites at the moment in the hope of seeing a decent deal on an Audi A6. Equipment details are pretty short so I am sort of relying on standard spec on the two main trims at the time in 2015 (SE vs S-line). Does anybody know if LED headlights were standard on Audi A6s S-lines in 2015. Should I be able to tell from the pictures of the car? Looking at the two pictures below, am I correct in assuming the headlights on the right are full LED and the ones on the left are Xeon?

Ones on the left are halogen. The xenon has a circular main beam.

The ones on the left look like the basic halogen headlights and don't have the LED daytime running lights built into the bottom area. The audi Xenon lights on an A6 have the glass ball diffuser. You are right about the other picture on the right, these are LED headlights.

OP, the A6 was facelifted in 2015. The left headlights are from the pre-facelift SE model. Facelift SE models have bi-xenons, s-line have full LED headlights.

SE models have 17" wheels, s-line have twin-spoke 18", and black edition have the 20" rotor alloys you see everywhere.

As an owner of an 2016 A6 SLine, the LED Headlights are standard on the SLine same as in the picture on the right.
If you find one with Matrix LEDs go for it

Thanks v much everybody. So, the S-line or the black ed should have LED headlights. The matrix LED is an upgrade on the standard LED headlights?

Yes, but the standard LED and matrix LED are pretty much impossible to distinguish visually.

Matrix LED headlights include high beam assist afaik. The standard LED headlights don't to my knowledge.

Another quick question on this one if I could please, folks.

On the car in the following link, the dealer is saying xenon lights. Does anybody know if the LED daytime running lamps are included with that spec? (So, xenon headlights, but LED daytime running lights).

Any opinions on the car appreciated too! They are selling a similar black edition with 14,400 km more for €2,000 extra.

I was after one in Daytona grey but wondering if I'd be just as happy with the black. I wouldn't be the most diligent at washing the car, so it would end up grey a lot of the time anyway!

    They are LED headlights.

If you want grey hold out for grey - plenty of fish in the used tdi Audi market sea, the right car will come up.

Nice spec on this one, large screen Nav, full dual climate control [with digital control in rear], large drivers info system display [display between speedometer and rev counter], sport pedals, auto tailgate, factory rear tint, audi parking plus and keyless entry. You might want to check the drivers seat as the lower lumber seems to be quite worn for the mileage.
It looks as if two child car seats were also fitted in the rear so look at the back bumper for scrapes and marks from lifting a buggy in and out of the boot.

Try and hold out for a Black Edition, they usually come with a few more toys.

A dealer that isn't bothered to wipe down the backs of the seats and give a little bit of a spruce to the interior isn't exactly confidence inspiring.

OP, would recommend the 3.0 TDI Quattro S-Line. Its an animal of a car.

Totally agree, car should be spotless for advert, can't understand why so many dealers can't be arsed to clean a car properly, would def put me off.

Thanks everyone - much appreciated. Plenty of food for thought. Had thought that myself about the back seats. Would have only taken a 30 sec wipe down. A lot of leather on second hands seem to show wear / indents on the drivers seats. Thanks again.

It happens, especially with the pocket buttons of jeans and lady's handbags. That said, some leather creme and elbow grease can do wonders. If you do buy leather, get into a habit of cleaning and moisturizing them once a month. Does wonders.
