TV mounts and TV's are standardized expecially when youre buying proper named brands like LG.

Id be fairly certain that it would fit.

I thought the same but this wall bracket doesnt fit most new Samsung TVs as the holes are farther apart (Probably due to size of TVs).

Last thing I want to do is have to drill more holes in the wall to upgrade to a bigger mount!

I guess you will just have to buy the TV and return it if the mount doesnt fit.
Or bring the mount to the shop and ask them to turn around the sample so you can see if the mount fits.

As a wise man once said, the wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from. There are a number of different VESA mounting standards, your "universal" mount is probably a 100mmx100mm (VESA 100) one, but your TV, especially if it's bigger may well require a 100mmx200mm (VESA 100/200), or even 200mmx200mm (VESA 200) one.

The VESA size should be on the TV and your existing mount

The specs for that TV say it's a VESA 300 mount, and your mount is maximum 200, so no it won't fit.

Seems there's a raft of other variations too with 300 and 400mm mounting holes thrown into the mix.

So basically the mount isnt wide enough or the holes? Whats the best plan here?

This is the stage Im at pic attached, really dont want to have to drill more holes in the wall but I guess Ill have to, it only went up 6 months ago biggrin.png

Does the mount you have indicate who manufactured it? If so you could maybe see if they also make a 300mm version and hope that the bracket that attaches to the wall is the same and all you'd have to do is to replace the frame part.

Your bracket is rated at 20 kg and your tv is well below that weight.

However I wouldn't be happy with those 4 screws/bolts being so close together. You're relying on the integrity of the blocks that it's screwed into being 100% sound.

I would get a larger bracket that spreads the load over a larger area of your wall.
