    Hey Boardsies
My cousin is on a TUS Scheme with a company for 19.5 hours per week or a 2.5 days week and he has started working privately for them for the other 19.5 hours. Should he register with revenue for this or will the company do this automatically as he has been there privately for 2 months. His payroll slips still have not come through.
    Thanks

Depending on the employer they may pay the private hours and TUS scheme hours from two different registrations of the company. Your cousin would need to speak to payroll to confirm whether or not he will be set up on two payroll systems.

If so, they should provide the employers tax registration number for both incomes. Your cousin should then contact Revenue with these numbers to ensure tax credits and rate bands are divided between two incomes. Otherwise he will be charged emergency tax.
