I currently have a 43” tv hung on the wall but am changing to a 55” and am a bit worried it might be too big for my sitting room. What’s the best viewing distance to be sitting from a tv that size? I’ve found a few guides online but would like to hear from people’s personal experience as to what works best please?

It really is whatever you are comfortable with, you could try and move closer to your current TV and use this as a test, I'm 12ft back from a 65" TV screen and would easily be happy with some of the 77" ones out there if I had the funds.
