I well remember the 2014 Worlds when Campbell Flakemore beat Ryan Mullen by 0.5 second to win the U23 TT title, and then later on his subsequent retirement while with BMC. Here's the background story to how he fell out of love with being a professional cyclist.

    Beautifully written piece.
Reading this, and the writings of Daniel Stewart (An Post-Chainreaction), I get the strong impression that many of the young guys who consciously decide to leave the sport and are great, deep thinkers.

Great read, I can't help but feel he is very hard on himself.
