Gmail mails not getting notifications

Most of my mail is now heading into a folder called updates.

As a result I'm not getting notifications unless I manually check the folder.

Anyone any experience of this, and how to rectify?

    TIA

On PC browser go to gmail and choose

    Settings - Configure Inbox

Remove the ticked folders and all mail should go to your primary folder.

    There maybe other solutions.
