Hi guys. I’m looking to buy a car that the last road tax paid was 08-2016. Can you please tell me, what the reasons can be to not having the tax paid since then? NCT is available for 9 more months.
Also, if i’m gonna renew the tax, i have to pay for all that time since 2016? I don’t really understand this thing...
    Many thanks

There's no back tax due with change of ownership, so you'll be only taxing it from when you buy it.

New owner only pays motor tax from the beginning of the month in which they become the registered owner.
