I got a solar panels fitted last year to heat the hot water in the cylinder. I noticed this evening that the pump that circulates the fluid is running. Is this unusual in this cold weather. Have not noticed this running over the last few months. Is something up? Should I turn off this pump to be on the safe side for now.

What the controler LCD is saying about the temperatures of the collector, and the bottom and top of the cylinder !?

Sorry only replying now, was waiting on sparks. Collecter is showing 10 deg c, depending on weather outside. The thermostat at bottom of tank is showing -40 deg c, yes minus 40. When I put thermostat into hand it does go down. The thermostat cable was added onto to keep the controller located with other equipment and this cable travels with other cables. Could there be interference that's driving this nuts. Plan is to run this cable on it's own to controller and see what happens

The thermostat cable was faulty. New cable fitted and straight away problem solved. Lots of hot water esp in the last week with the change in weather.
