    hey

Just looking for advice as to whether I should scrap or try to sell my car as above

It's out of tax, ncted until may and driving fine

However given it's age, engine size and the fact it's petrol I suspect it's not worth more than a few hundred and I'm not that into the effort to advertise it and then deal with queries.

Do I sound nuts to b e considering scrapping it?

As is with NCT it will sell on Donedeal, just needs to be priced accordingly, stick it up for €1000 and see how you get on. If it has leather, it might be more desirable to someone looking for a cheap car between cars while they get cash together for something else. €710 a year isn't the worst by a long shot.

Next year it will be 15 years old, will be hard to get insurance when it hits that age, offload now if you plan to sell.

It's half leather, aircon cruise control and a few other bits

Only one of the keys works to open the doors and it's a scrape on one door after getting twatted in a car park a couple of months ago

No harm putting it up, will only cost you the price of the ad. Ideally if you could get a fresh NCT right now it will be so much more desireable, no tax though and you have the hassle of getting to NCT.

It being automatic may have more appeal than manual, much less automatics on sale.
