    Hi all.

    can i ask please...
on a rad you have 4 corners.

at the moment im thinking of plumbing it with 1 pipe going in at the top with the thermostate valve & 1 pipe coming out at the top & putting the blank valve on the bottom & the bleed valve also.

can i do this.? will it work.?

or do i have to do it as from the botton....

    thanks

Fill your bath. Stick your head at the bottom and blow a heap of bubbles. If they form a nice layer of air at the bottom of the bath then yes, fire away and put the bleed from the bottom of the rad.

    hi lads again.
am i ok plumbing the rad with 1 pipe coming in at the top & leaving from the oposite side at the bottom..?

(a friend's) there rads are on a single pipe plumbing.
    http://www.upperplumbers.co.uk/plumbing/plumbing_pages.php?title=Pipework%20Systems&cat=3

think the reason for asking is .. like the pitcure (rad single) single pipe plumbing..
1 of the rads on its line is not getting as hot as the others & its not the last rad, think its 3rd from last & they are all single rads.

plumbing the rad with top in & bottom out .. will this make any difference.?
the rad as been changed, thinking its faulty.

    thanks lads.

It may be that your system just needs to be correctly balanced.
Get someone who knows what they are doing to have a look before you touch any pipwork.
But to answer your question, if the rad is slow to heat and it is new and the valves are fully open, changing the pipework as you asked about will not resolve the problem.

hi k.flyer thanks for u reply.

i will pass that info on to my friend.
but i find it strange that on a single line with 9 rads & the 5th rad dont get same temp', but i tell him to get em balanced.
    thanks k.flyer. laters mate.

    hi k.flyer
i was down at my friends place on saturday, & he showed me the rad thats playing up.
    its a quinn barlo k2 double double 300 h x 500 w.

(its 4th from the last rad on a line of 8.
    this is the smallest unit. the others are 400 x 500 & 500 x 800.)

this unit is piped like ..this web link...
    http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/RADIATORSINGLE%20PIPE.jpg

? can he pipe it like ..like the single pope loop <as pictured in this web link>..?
    https://www.diydata.com/planning/central_heating/pipework.php

i also have this temp tester..
    https://www.ebay.ie/itm/K-Type-High-Temperature-Digital-Thermometer-Pyrometer-Probe-Set-1300-C-2327-F/401405074218?hash=item5d759b5b2a:g:ElsAAOSw8OJZu6XK

& i put it on the pipe going into the rad & it read 40' c.
i put it on the out pipe & it read 25' c. (something like that).
but the pipe that goes straight through is 40' c.

    thanks k.flyer.
