I am selling my vw Golf.

Its a 2002 model so mk4. 1.4 petrol with 140000 miles on the clock.
Its taxed till the end of march and nct till end of feb 2019.

I was hoping to get around 7-800 but i dont know if this is realistic. thoughts?

long nct and taxed, mileage not too bad, you wouldn't be far off, just that pain of insurance for older cars might put some people off.

Bit of luck required to find the right buyer always of course.

Your advert will be very important, to make the car look as clean and straight and genuine as possible.

I'd say your spot on. Ask €950, take anything over 750.

Your main problem is because car is 15 years old some insurers will not quote for new business on it, only existing customers, that leaves the remainder who will charge a premium. I'd say it's worth far more to you than to anyone your selling too, at a guess the way things are if you got €500 take it all day long.
