Samsung Galaxy Storage Question

    Hello All,

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 mobile with a storage capacity of 32GB. Checking the phone today I see that 14.1GB is already taken up (called "system/user data") leaving me only 17.9GB storage to play with. I've only a few hundred MB of things on the phone (815kb of photos, 149MB of audio recording and 821MB for apps) so where is the rest of the storage used? It can't be the operating system can it? Taking up almost half of the phone's storage?

I'd appreciate any advice if anyone knows. I'll be asking in the Three store where I bought it at the weekend.

    Thanks!

That seems like a lot to be taken up! I've no idea where the storage is used, but I'm sure they'll be able to help you in the three store no problem.

I've actually been considering to get this phone myself as well (looks great!), if you could let us know what the staff say there I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!
