Tank Keep Cracking?

    Hi,

I have been through 3 different fish tanks now that all develop hairline cracks, leading to me having to replace them.

There's nothing out of the ordinary in the tank, just a few goldfish, props etc. and the pump/filter.

    What is going on here?

All cracks in same place? Where? Describe what the tank is placed on, have you polystyrene sheet under the tank?

Are you picking up/trying to move the tank with water in it?

I would suggest uneven floor or uneven stand that the tanks were on.

If you're buying tanks with a floating base, a black raised plastic base you need to have it on a stand specifically designed for aquariums.

Use a spirit level and check that it’s sitting flat
