Would anybody have a contact for someone to install a gas hob? What kind of price would we be looking at? TIA

Is there already a gas supply / isolation valve at the location? Swapping old hob for new at same location?

If there's already a supply and isolation valve, the gas line is sound, it shouldn't be too bad cost wise. If it needs a new gas line run, depending on the work, you could be looking at ~€350, but that's just a guestimate.

ok this is the second time i post this message ( i don t know how i ,managed to lose the first one) so I will make it much shorter than what was originally :
I checked calorgas and screwfix, they both sell you what you need to do it yourself...this will save you few hundred bucks...
A friend of mine install it himself in his new house and used copper pipes (i think) he said it took a couple of hours.
I know two couples the had a gas hob installed and initially they were told about200buck but both couples (in two different locations and different RGIs) ended up paying 400 and 450bucks... cause your man had to drill a hole through two concrete blocks to get the pipe out of the building, and the other one said that the cooker was more than 3meters away from the gas cylinder!!! the guy that asked 400bucks was trying to get VAT on top of that...
basically they will try their best to screw you ...they can do it...really they would be usung €60 worth material and the rest is BS...
if you guys know any honest plumber RGI in co limerick please let me know it...
