    Hi guys,

I have an apartment that I live in - built in 200. Todayy toilet, water to all taps etc from the internal tank has quit. The mains water from outside to my kitchen is ok. but the water from tank is not getting through the pipes . Both the hot and cold are affected.
I know that I will need a plumber to fix it, but where I live I have not been too impressed with the efficiency of the guys around here who are working as plumbers. I called in a few for another problem that I had a few ears ago, and they were less than reassuring. It is serious and I would be thankful for any ideas from someone here to give me an idea of what might be causing the problem.
    thanks

Can you check the tank in the attic and see if it’s filling properly. Sounds like the tank could be empty due to a stuck ballcock. Or maybe the outlet pipe from the tank to the taps is blocked or even frozen due to the cold

You have a pump in the hot press / cylinder cupboard? Makes a noise when you run a tap ?

If you have a pump, switch off the electrical supply to it. Leave it off for a minute and power it back up, it may re-set itself just by doing this.

Thanks guys. I'm completely ignorant of any plumbing stuff. I think I'd better call a plumber.
