    Hi everyone,

I am just after setting up a bit of a sideline company for my current boss. This company will specialise in recording company video footage and editing them into company promo videos for youtube, facebooks, websites & events.

I am basically wondering what is the best handheld camera for recording and what is the best drone?

I have provisionally purchased a Phantom4 pro drone. Is this the correct move?

On the handheld camera side of things.
    I currently have a Lumix g3, a Cannon EOS Rebel T3 and a Go-Pro hero 5 black.
I have not used any yet for professional videos so I didnt want to go using one for a month only to find out the quality is crap. I have only used them all for personal use for motorsport where quality isnt that important.

I have been given a €3,000 spend budget by my boss for purchasing a hand held camera and a drone.
What is the best to buy on that budget or do any of my current cameras have good enough features? He offered to buy them off me.

    What would anyone else buy?
I was thinking like a handheld camcorder would be better than a DSLR or am I wrong?

    Thanks everyone for the help.

You could get a Mavic for the price of a Phantom 4, That's a better drone. If you will be just doing HD you could get the Spark and spend the cash on extras.

Id buy a good tripod and microphone first. It's that kit that will make you different to the phone shooters.

Depending on what you will be shooting, Will you have to use a zoom alot? You said you recorded motorsport you would need a camera with a good/smooth zoom. I would go down the sony route but it might exceed your budget.

Just be mindful if you are operating a drone especially for commercial purposes that you are insured, and aware of the regulations in relation to their use. It will be you held responsible and not your boss if something goes wrong.
The general altitude limit in Dublin and all along the coast is 15metres or just under 50ft.
I have had one incident of a motor failing on my first drone and it just shot off in a random direction and crashed.
Any of the other cameras you mentioned could be used but on a tripod. Trying to shoot handheld video without a gimbal will not look very professional.
