    Hi,

    Where in Dublin is the office located for selecting medical cards? I discontinued my medication and don't need it anymore and would like someone in need to have it.
    I would like to pop in and explain that I have discontinued my medicine and give it to someone else.

    You can return your medical card if you no longer need it.

    Anyone who qualifies for one gets one, there's no limit on the number of people who get one so you returning yours doesn't mean someone else will then get one. It makes no difference.

    With absolute respect, please ensure that you are discontinuing your medication in a monitored way and with the knowledge of a doctor you trust.

    Your idea is very kind but be assured that anyone who qualifies for a medical card can get one by applying for one, so you cannot give your medical card to somebody else.
    You cannot visit the medical card office because it’s not a public office.
    You can ring them on 1890252919
    Make an appointment to talk to your doctor today so that he or she knows that you are not going to be taking your medication any more.
    This is important.
