Hello quick question for ye anyone working as milk recorder.

Is it worth it? Whats rate pay like?

I work full time shift work and a part time farmer. Was asked if was interested.

What do ye think is it worth the hassle?

You seem to be busy enough with your current lot. Did it before while at college there is more out of relief milking and the job can be mind numbing as your with the farmer for the duration of the milking just taking samples.

I used to milk record, it's ahead wrecker as on a good few farms the farmer would say to be there at a certain time. When you arrive they havent even gone for the cows  When milk recorder comes here the time I tell her is when the first row will be done. Then farmers complaining that you are not reading the amount of milk properly.....there are easier ways of making money

My milk recorder phones me and waits in the top of the lane until 1316 has the cluster on her.

1316 doesn't approve of milk recorders, and she can recognise the sound of a Skoda engine half a parish away.
