    Hey guys,

So the new build us getting destroyed in mold, today is first day I had a chance to open windows with the ****ty winter we had, it was fierce damp up here outside. I had a dehumidifier blasting away all winter but it didn't do enough.

Now I'm getting mold where water looks to be trapped between plasterboard and airtight membrane..

Should I paint over it or try dab bleach?
Its esp bad where we cross battened for downlights.

You Han see the water forming

No electricity or heat on yet either, walls plastered and floors in, the first layer paint went on before the Christmas weather kicked in

Had the same issue until we got the ventilation up and running. The new plaster is drying out. Ventilation is the solution!

Open the windows. Cross ventilation. Day & night.

Even the paint will introduce tonnes of moisture, Need ventilation have to have ventilation until you can get the heat sorted out

If you have no heat and no ventilation then of course you are going to get mold!

Whats the water content of plaster & paint for example...that has to go somewhere.

tbh i would not have started painting personally until the heat and ventilation was done. Causes alot of problems.

    Agreed.

I would be very worried about mold behind plasterboard already...no way to remove that without reboarding.

OP I hope no one has asthma (yet).

Is this a self build or who is managing it? Hopefully its not a selfie and you have someone else to blame who can remedy it.

For now, get some windows open.

looks to me, from the picture as if you have an uncontrolled air ingress/poor insulation problem along the ceiling where it meets the wall.

Tell us more about where this picture is from, wall/ceiling construction etc
