Just wondering how everyone is prepared for the Mocks? My dcg project has me well over a month behind on my study timetable so I'm not looking for anything great, H3/H4 in maths I'd take, H2/H3 physics and business and then not too bothered about the rest, I won't fail them but I won't do as well as I can which I'll admit is entirely my own fault, we still hvae a fair bit of time (I've around 24 days I think) and loads for the LC so as long as I get the grades above I'll be happy out, aiming for 580 ish in the lc, what about you guys?

My mocks start on the 29th of January...i am totally freaking out.
I followed a study timetable at the start of the year for about 3 weeks. from then on i have only done some in my own time with no strict regime.
I did none of MY OWN revision over Christmas, i did 92 A4 pages though of homework. Does anyone think that this was a totally excessive amount of homework? I didn't even learn much from it tbf. I would have found it alot easier if they just set some stuff to learn as opposed to loads of written (in my opinion, pointless) work.
    Does anyone agree?

I did some study the week before the xmas break myself, over xmas i was sick until last week, went to one of the grinds school for revision courses and did my english homework there. In my opnion (what I'm doing from now on and what I wish I did over xmas) study is more important than homework, regardless of how much homework you may get , we are at the stage were we know ourselves what we really need to work on, gonna take a day or two off in the build up to the mocks to get proper revision done, rather than lets say sitting in a double english class learning about a poet I know for a fact I wont be doing for my lc. I know it might sound cliche but don't worry too much about the mock results they arent the be all and end all, they are really an indication of how much work you have to do, having said that I still want to do reasonably well but I wont do as well as I should and f*ck me that's a lot of homework man, bit excessive

The best way to study is to practice exam questions.

I give my students copies of old mock exams in the run up to their own mocks so they have more to practice with.

Ask your teachers if they have any they would give you for study.

Im not really that motivated tbh. I don't really count the mocks because I feel like they mark them too hard compared to the actual lc. I did a four day revision course in biology and maths at the beginning of January. I'm kinda sick at the moment(throat infection I think) but once I'm better ill get back to the study. X

i don't mean to be cruel, but from your JC experiences, were your mocks corrected all wrong? I remember in our school, my french test was clearly marked all wrong! :')
    Lol
